What does Progress in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) look like in the Caribbean Tech Space?
What did it take to get us this far? And how much further do we have to go?
Google Women Techmakers, Google Developer Groups and Women in Tech Caribbean along with regional partners in the STEAM industry will be hosting the second instalment of the IWD Caribbean Tech Summit, an annual event targeting the Diversity and Inclusion space for the Caribbean and its Diaspora. Executed by a growing network of allies and women leaders- BY US, FOR US. This year #IWDTechSummit2022 will celebrate and explore the theme #ProgressNotPerfection, and what progress means in our Caribbean context in the STREAM space.

We are connecting INTENTION with SUSTAINABILITY & ACTION as we connect our participants with critical industry best practices, knowledge sharing, Core DEI Training and some of the region’s boldest and most innovative projects & companies.
We aim to foster an ecosystem of Caribbean empowerment and action
that will contribute to greater representation of a diverse and inclusive Caribbean.
We will examine not only the experiences and challenges of our current landscape, but deep dive into the imagination, tools and systems needed to foster the growth of the Caribbean footprint and experience in the global network of technology.
We are planning a very exciting list of featured speakers who will lead our community with industry tools and skills, and personal improvement that will empower and transform them during this troubling time for our region. Stay tuned as more amazing leaders join the cause!
We have been asked alot – am I a techmaker? Many of our amazing community leaders and speakers have shared with us a sense of doubt…over whether they belong in this world of tech…and we want to assuredly respond by saying- YES YOU DO.
Listen to some of our IWD Tech Summit partners as we speak to our fellow Women Techmakers in the Caribbean and the diaspora.
